Who are we?

The Association of SA Blind Sporting Clubs t/a Blind Sports SA is recognised by the South Australian Office for Recreation, Sport & Racing as the state disability sporting organisation representing people who are blind or have low vision.

We are a not for profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC).

Mission Statement

Our mission is to actively encourage people who are blind or have low vision to take part in the sport of their choice by promoting, supporting and developing competitive and recreational sports of all kinds. We provide support services and education to our members, key stakeholders and the general community to ensure that programs delivered are of the highest standard, are inclusive and meet the needs of our individual participants.

We also pursue opportunities to educate mainstream sports, universities, schools and the general community on how they can modify existing sports and recreational activities to become more inclusive.

Vision Statement

Lives are enriched through participation in sport! Our vision is for people who are blind or have low vision, through community sport and recreation participation, to develop improved wellbeing, self-confidence, resilience, reduced social isolation and an increased sense of community belonging for a better quality of life.
